PURPOSE AND RATIONALE OF THE QUALIFICATION

Purpose:
The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a Small Winder Operator.

A Small Winder Operator operates a small winder to transport materials, explosives and minerals to and from the underground workings of a mine.

A qualified learner will be able to:
